In 2019, the ‘Blanket of Warmth’ project received a United Nation Saskatchewan Regional Center for Expertise (RCE) on Education for Sustainable Development award. The goal of the United Nation Saskatchewan RCE is to promote knowledge sharing, collaboration and mutual learning.
In March of 2023, the Global RCE portal uploaded the ‘Blanket of Warmth’ project ensuring the sharing of local knowledge on a global platform.
MacPherson Engineering Inc is proud to connect with the global audience that the RCE portal provides. The knowledge learned to address poor indoor air quality in First Nation homes helps to set other communities and nations up for success. This project demonstrates local to global action to ‘build back better’.
